Learn How To Eliminate Bathroom Odors

Many people have a bad connotation in regards to toilets. This is because of the image acquired from public washrooms and the germs associated with them. Matters are made worse by the stinking smell that is emitted by the facilities. The smell is emitted by bathtub, the drainage system, tiles, sink and the wall. You should hope that the smell is not from your septic tank since this can be a real nuisance. The most important aspect is that you should eliminate bathroom odors carefully without causing further damage.

In your effort to get rid of that usual smell with your toilets, you need to first identify the smell which of course is not like that of flowers. Here you should be ready even for the most stinking smell. Your toilet can smell musty, like urine, feces or sewage or even a smell of something that has died somewhere in this facility. So you need to identify the source of the smell and move from there.

You can remove bad odors using different methods. First and foremost, illumination using a wooden match at the center of your room will help in eliminating all unpleasant odors. This is because the match emits sulfur dioxide that surpasses the other bad smell. This is a solution for a short while that will help in saving you from embarrassment.

The most natural thing to do, is having your windows open so that fresh air can come in. These can be of great assistance when it is not raining and the temperature outside are conducive. If this may not be applicable due to un-conducive weather then you can use another method.

The cud that is causing odor can be dissolved using white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide. You can also light a candle in the restroom. Both unscented and scented candle are beneficial. It is recommended that you should use scented candles that help in reducing fire hazards. This will help in ensuring that the room has a pleasant smell for a while.

If your toilet smells salty, you can use ammonia cleaning agents to kill it. All you need to do here is just clean the toilet with ammonia solution once, particularly on the outside. If you have bleach near you, make sure that these two do not come in to contact as they can explode.

Baking soda is another method to go for. It is good at absorbing odors. Your toilet size will determine the amount of soda to use. You should use the right amount and leave it for some days so that the reaction occurs. After some days, you should replace the baking soda with a fresh batch. You should continue with this trend till your toilet acquires a pleasant smell. Hydrochloric acid is a good option when dealing with stubborn stench. You should be careful when using it as it can cause damage to bowls or floor.

Last but not the least, you can use charcoal to eliminate bathroom odors. It is very effective in soaking up odors. There are other methods that are available should the above mentioned not work for you.
