By Helen Kennedy

Blue nose pitbull terriers don't "really" have a blue nose, they are actually named for the color of their coat being a grey or charcoal (lighter than black), and the skin on their nose also being grey or charcoal, rather than the usual black you see on most pitbulls. The blue nose pitbull's distinct color traits make this dog a very popular choice for people in the market for a pitbull that is a bit different than the norm. Breeders may often take advantage of their popularity and try to overcharge the unwary new pet owner. When you are buying blue nose pitbull puppies for sale, make sure to buy them at the right price.

The Blue Pit Bull has become one of the largest canine breed in the United States and quickly gaining ground in many other countries as well. Making up 32% of the entire canine population this breed shows its resilience and ability to overcome adversity over the years.

Contrary to popular opinion these dogs are not wanton killing machines, they do have violent tendencies toward other dogs but are no more violent toward people than other dog breeds. They are loyal, obedient and good with children and families. They make excellent guard dogs and are generally good with other family pets including other dogs if they have been socialised with the other pets from puppy hood.

Most full-grown dogs will weigh around 25-40 pounds. A few specimens will, exceed 100 pounds. The pitbull neck is stout and thick. These dogs are energetic, vigorous, and extroverted. Some people prefer to clip the ears but many do not. Pitbulls have a tail of only a few inches that is thick and strong. These dogs should be moderately built. They should be neither skinny nor extremely muscled. All colors are good for dog show competition except for the color merle.

Blue-nosed Pit bull is said to be the most lethal. The very glimpse of a blue nose pit bull can strike terror in many hearts, and the fear is completely reasonable as these dogs look strikingly fearsome. Their well-made form, huge colored nozzles and terrifying bark can cause the bravest of men to flee.

These dogs live to be around 12 years old. Overall these dogs tend to have few sicknesses. Parvo, cataracts, and allergies are a few of the problems that can crop up. Don't forget to consider a local animal shelter animal if you are looking for a dog.

Although it is simply part of the character of them to be less friendly, when compared to other family dogs, this characteristic can be managed by means of proper training and a loving and caring environment. Due to the high levels of energy these dogs need to be sociable right when they are pups. So if you're locked up with a Pit bull in an enclosed apartment it can only indicate trouble. These dogs love energetic activities and must be dealt with accordingly.

Don't be afraid to go to animal shelters and rescue associations to rescue a dog. The dogs will have been looked over and any issues treated while still in the care of the shelter. They will also spay or neuter the dog. There will be fees associated with either picking up your dog from a breeder or from a shelter, and you can do your research to see where your money is going.
