Extra Long Shower And Hookless Shower Curtains

By Darren Hartley

Extra long shower curtains are perfect for bathrooms with high vertical clearing. A homeowner need not worry if the rod is too high that the curtains may not be enough to cover him while enjoying his bath. Furthermore, these curtains do not leave even an inch of space between them and the floor. Thus, they keep the water from scattering all over the bathroom.

Ideal is the word to describe extra long shower curtains in relation to homeowners with bath tubs and Jacuzzis at home. The assurance of having plenty of fabric covering the area from the top down to the tiles is enough for a homeowner not to mind having his hands caught on the curtain towards the bath tub.

Another service of extra long shower curtains is the prevention of younger children getting out of the bath tub by themselves. They serve as a lock blocking the children's path during play. This is accomplished with the simple tucking of the shower curtain on the side.

There are several different varieties of hookless shower curtains available on the market today. They all attach through different methods, each working with existing standard shower curtain rods. The more important aspect of these curtains is their elimination of the hooks.

Hookless shower curtains that simply fit over a curtain rod are equipped with a built-in flexible split-ring system. There are other varieties that utilize ties. With the added advantage of not having to individually bind each tie, these curtains eliminate the fumbling of users with hard-to-use rings.

Because most hookless shower curtains repel water, they have eliminated the threat of mold and mildew. Buttons, snaps or Velcro are some of the methods use by these curtains for rod attachment purposes. They all do away with the hassle coming with working with hooks but each come with their individual drawbacks.

One thing certain about hookless shower curtains is that they have taken away the pain of using hooks, one thing that anyone who has ever hung a traditional shower curtain will agree on.
